Build -A-Bear Time

For Mason's 5th birthday his Aunt Sara had a fun idea to take Mace on the Front Runner train from Layton all the way to Downtown. Of all the days to go we choose a blizzard morning, the good thing was we only had to drive to the FR's parking lot and then just ride the way down and the other nice thing was by the time we got to Salt Lake the snow had stopped. Mace had a great time on the train and was perfect. The first thing we did was head to the Clark Planetarium and saw the movie Bugs in 3-D. I swear I have seen something similar to it a long time ago but Mace didn't remember and it was still fun. He was a little nervous about a few parts but I think the music makes it worse then what it actually was!
I think I could have used the kid sized glasses as well :)

The next stop was to California Pizza Kitchen so Mace could get his Pepperoni pizza! Of course, Sara and I both love this place so it was fantastic.

After some full tummies we finally made it to our debut spot.... Build-A-Bear. However, Mace told me on the way to pick up Sara that he wasn't going to pick a bear because him and Logan don't even like bears and you can tell because they have some bears and they never play with them. He is so silly! Luckily, there is more to choose from then just bears!

Mace had to step on a little like sewing pedal for the fluff to fill up Mr. Owl. He was hesitant at first but then did it :)

Then you get to choose a heart to put in your animal, but first, you have to touch it to your heart and make a wish. I was surprised he did this! This is his little embarrassed look.

Then you have to give them a bath. You push another little foot pedal and a strong breeze of air comes out of the yellow things.
Ta-Da! We have a real stuffed and bathed Mr. Owl
and last but not least you get to make out the birth certificate. Mace named him Jax. I did buy him a Jazz outfit but Mace doesn't like to dress him! ugh! :)

On the way home, Mace was so excited that Jax could sit right next to him!

Here is my proof that it was such a super fun day because he was asleep by the time we got home! Although, now he is telling me that he wasn't sleeping but resting his eyes. :)
